Like the waters of the Lemhi and Salmon Rivers which converge right in the heart of our little town, our rodeo roots run deep!
Our community was built on ranching, rodeo and the western way of life and we are proud to continue that heritage still today. When you visit Salmon and the Lemhi Valley you're visiting the most geographically isolated community in the continental United States as it is surrounded by millions of acres of roadless wilderness. Settling in this area was not for the faint of heart. That's why our history is filled with stories of legends in the ranching and rodeo world. Take a step back in time and enjoy some rodeo action where the west is still a little wild and the cowboy way of life is still the golden rule. |
